GRAB A DEAL AS BSKYB PROFITS FALL

It’s been a tumultuous week for satellite broadcaster BSkyB after it reported a 15 per cent fall in annual pre-tax profits and declared that James Murdoch will stay on as chairman despite the ongoing News of the World phone hacking scandal.

However, with chaos comes opportunity – and there has arguably never been a better time for potential Sky customers to grab a deal.

Sky Ireland savings

Visitors at online coupon website 5hop5.ie can capitalise on a host of voucher codes for various Sky Ireland packages.

Currently the website is carrying six different voucher codes that are due to expire at the end of August with a host of different bundle deals. For example, there is the chance to enjoy live sport across four channels plus Sky Sports News for €34 a month; Sky+ HD with Sky Sports 1 or 2 for €57 a month; a Sky+ HD starter bundle with one entertainment pack for €38 a month; Sky+ with Sky Sports 1 or 2 for €42 a month; or a Sky+ starter bundle with one entertainment pack for €23 a month. You could also enjoy Sky in every room for just an extra €10 a month.

Or if you’re more of a movie lover then consider the movie pack voucher code for €28 a month.

Consumer growth

While BSkyB profits may have fallen, its consumer base actually increased by 426,000 during the year to a total of 10,294,000 subscribers.

Sky has also made more money from its customers with average revenue growing £31 to £539 per customer – making it all the more important to capitalise on these money saving offers.
