The firm, which offers 12 daily crossings from Ireland to Britain , including from Holyhead to Dublin and Pembroke to Rosslare, will now be the first ferry company in Europe with a fully transactional website suitable for smartphones.
On the move
Travellers to Ireland will now be able to book online from any location at any time – as long as they have a mobile signal. The Irish Ferries website will be compatible with Android, iPhone and Blackberry devices.
This means that in addition to checking sailing times and getting real time updates, customers can book and pay for their journey on any Irish Sea , or even Ireland-France routes.
Smartphone users can also bookmark the website for “one touch” access.
Sailing away with savings
In addition, Irish Ferries is currently offering a host of discounts on normal fares, including the chance for children under the age of 16 to travel for free during August.
