The
airline reports that its numbers rose to 954,000 from 927,000 during the same
month last year with the number of short-haul passengers increasing by 2.5 per
cent to 862,000; while long-haul passengers increased seven per cent to 92,000.
All booked up
Its
numbers were similarly impressive on its regional routes – where they increased
by 44.9 per cent to 71,000.
According
to Aer Lingus, its booked load factor – that is how many seats it fills on each
flight – increased by 2.9 points during the period to 83.9 per cent. In fact
its short-haul booked load factor reached 82.5 per cent, up 1.9 points compared
to the same period last year, while its long-haul booked load factor also
increased – gaining 5.2 points to reach 87 per cent.
